Not that I'll ever get any down here in Houston, but I found this.

Apart from the few women that are also Opponauts/Jalops, I find this to be generally accurate.

Kinja'd!!!

Down your hot chocolate in a few minutes and go out to play with your Benz. Snow drifting is boss.

I've never watched that show. It's really hard to balance scalding coco water when you don't have cup holders.

It's a shitty show, but there are some incredible insights into automobile physics.

For example, the cup of water idea was that to drift properly, you had to keep the water from spilling. In real life, this is basically impossible, but the theory holds. Theoretically, if you put just the right amount of water in the cup, the cup is basically a G-meter.

Since tires can take so much force against them before snapping and slipping, the surface tension of a water models the grip coefficient of the tire pretty well.

The "G-meter cup of water" allows you to A: balance the car's load on the suspension, B: reduce the moment of your input on the car's direction, and C: discourage mid-corner correction. All three of which make up the basics of a fast cornering technique.

So... uh, yeah. When people ask why you don't have a cup holder, just take it one step further and say you're training for Le Mans.

You need a Contigo Randolph travel mug. Did a GIS to find a picture and one of the first pics to show up was my Oppo review of this particular mug that I did many months ago. Several months further along I can confirm that this mug will not spill beverages while hooning. It did in fact contain my coffee when I performed the four foot drop test to concrete with it. It should easily handle containing your steaming hot cocoa while you powerslide through the school parking lot. And it will keep your hot beverage hot for many hours too.
